After reading another reviewers comments, stating that they received only the REMOTE and not the system, I started a chat with an Amazon rep and they assured me it was the WHOLE SYSTEM! So once again I chatted explaining what had happened and they told me to send the remote back and that they would escalate the issue due to the item being sent is not what is described. I hope this helps someone. I got this for my 2006 Silverado Z71 CCSB LBZ, I have had remote start systems since I worked in a shop part time back in 2003 and cant go without it a week. I bought this system for my newer truck to replace the 2000 Z71 ECSB I just wish the remote were a little smaller, it is nearly the size of a cellphone. Install is straightforward, when the unit is working correctly, the first one I received was shorted across the flex relay, and Amazon sent a replacement with one day shipping quickly, even included a shipping label for return shipping for free. Amazon is great. The guy at car toys asked me how much I paid for it I told him less then 200$ he thought I stole it. He said his at cost price is 500$. Does everything you could imagine.. tells you the internal tempurature of the car. One small hangup a lot of people figure out the hard way like myself and thats the remote start... it's costly... I have an 03 infiniti G35 Coupe and in order for my car to work with this I had to purchase the Flash64 computer chip. Having this professionally installed by car toys was by far the best savings of time I could spend. |
